| Marshalltown Joint Knives have a carbon steel blade which has been heat treated, hardened, tempered and annealed for an even hardness throughout the blade. There is a slight flexibility to the blade to allow for a smooth action when spreading compound. A full tang runs through the handle for ultimate strength and sturdiness to the product. The handle is covered by a smooth black plastic handle which is resistant to virtually all chemicals and solvents, and weighted for the perfect balance. The Joint Knife has a built in steel hammer end for hammering and setting nails making this a multifunctional tool and means you don't need a separate hammer for the small jobs our Joint Knife can do. | |
